Meet Robb Sullivan
Robb’s Story
Businessman Robert Sullivan was born on November 17, 1962, in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Lamar High School in Houston, Texas, in 1981 and attended the University of Houston and Texas Southern University from 1982–1987.
During high school, at age 16, Robert worked as a McDonald’s night and weekend manager in the Houston Galleria. His mother made him quit the job because she felt he was working too many hours and his schoolwork began to suffer (he got one C).
Robert’s next job was basically the training ground for his A/V career. He got a position at Home Entertainment, the top A/V store in Houston, where he learned the intricacies of complete sound system design and service for high-end clients.

Although Robert didn’t graduate from college, he learned lessons and skills that would prove valuable in business. He joined the US Army Reserves in 1988 as a 55R military accountant, and he became a military trainer on the newly-implemented SAAS computer system.
Sullivan’s big break came after he returned from his military commitment and took a job as the head A/V installer for the company installing home A/V systems for L.A. Reid and Babyface when they moved to Atlanta in the late 80s.
In 1990, Robert felt he could better serve that musical dynamic duo and other clients if he had full control, so he approached them to help him start his own A/V business and they said yes. With their assistance, he opened his own A/V company, initially called Lifestyle and Entertainment Systems. Later, he changed the name to Audio Command Systems of Atlanta.

Robert has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine, Ebony, Black Enterprise Magazine, Atlanta Tribune, and Atlanta Journal and Constitution articles. In 2003, 2004 and 2005, he was honored with the prestigious CE Pro Magazine #1 A/V Company award.
However, Robert is most proud of his volunteer work over the years as Speaker for the Alzheimer’s Association and also President of the Young Adult Ministry at St. Phillip AME Church in Atlanta. In that capacity, he and 30 other professionals travelled throughout the southeast United States, presenting high school career fairs to inspire youth to pursue their dreams. He has happily involved himself in many other charitable causes as well.
